Have we met before? Maybe. Murlant magazine has been in the works for nearly 8 years. Eight years of coming up with series ideas, eight years of finding the right retro look, and eight years of finding our voice. We sell tragedies.

Tragedies? Like Shakespeare? You’re not too far off. In my time reading comics from Marvel and DC to Shonen manga and European books, I started noticing something missing. We don’t see enough true tragedies anymore.

We live in a time where right and wrong aren’t so clear cut. So why do so many characters still act like they are? People are contradictions. We fail. We repeat mistakes. We justify things we shouldn’t. So the question becomes: What does redemption actually look like, and how far does that road go?

That’s what Murlant Magazine is here to explore. Murlant Magazine exists to create action-driven fantasy stories about broken characters who relentlessly fight to reclaim something they’ve lost, delivering cautionary tales along the way.

Whatever you do, don’t follow the same destructive paths our characters take. Nothing is clean. Nothing is easy. They will stumble. They will fall. And they will fail more than once, because changing direction isn’t simple.

Enter Roken:  

Roken has lived a life of tribulation and has found the source of his pain, the Storyteller. The storyteller is in charge of writing the lives of everyone, but Roken refuses to live his destiny any further. Roken and his brother, Arthur, are now on a quest to find the Storyteller and take control of their own destiny.

Enter The Elf Cracker:

Elf Crackers are the elite of Santa’s elves. They hunt troublesome elves who put the good name of Santa and the spirit of Christmas in jeopardy. Vix Velix has been tasked to figure out who has been abducting the naughtiest children on Santa’s list.

Enter Drahcir’s Slaughter:

Drahcir is an evil wizard who stole a kingdom. He was led by his fears of an imminent invasion, and sees the only answer is raising an army for his warpath. Drahcir has wronged many, causing an Off-Fit Fellowship to be formed. No matter the cost, these outcasts will get their revenge.

There will be plenty more characters and stories as we continue building our catalog. Quarterly we will be releasing a Magazine titled: Murlant Magazine. This will include 3-4 titles packaged with a few short stories. Our primary genre is dark fantasy, but what American publisher doesn’t include superheroes? We agree. You’ll be seeing Meddle-Head in Murlant Magazine which follows, you guessed it, Meddle-Head as he uncovers the secrets his superhero agencies keep to ensure obedience from their heroes.

We will also have an exclusively digital release of Deathwake. Another Superhero genre story about a villain hunting down the meme era of his former league: Hell Arisen, once they have broken their number 1 rule. Deathwake will be releasing Bi-Monthly.
